Support Kura Waka
St. Kura Waka, Sacred House of Learning
Kura Waka is more than a retreat centre.
It is a living house for healing, ceremony, learning, art, movement, music, silence and connection. A place that has been built, cared for and carried with love, passion and the help of many souls over the past 27 years.
Kura Waka is held under the foundation:
St. Kura Waka, Sacred House of Learning
As a foundation, our wish is to keep this place alive, safe and accessible for the people, teachers, healers, artists, seekers and communities who gather here.
How You Can Support
You can support Kura Waka by joining our retreats, ceremonies, trainings and events.
You can also support us through a donation.
Every contribution, big or small, helps us to care for the house, improve the spaces and continue building a safe and warm place for learning, healing and gathering.
At this moment, donations help us with improvements such as the fire safety system, the kitchen and the ongoing care of the house.
Projects You Can Support
Your donation helps us care for the spaces that carry daily life at Kura Waka.
Dining Room Renovation:
The dining room is one of the central gathering spaces of Kura Waka — a place for meals, tea, stories and landing together after retreats and ceremonies. At the moment, we are working on floor insulation and insulated glass to make the space warmer, more sustainable and comfortable throughout the year. We also wish to build a mezzanine, creating more space and new possibilities.Care Apartment:
We are creating a small Care Apartment for people who need a quiet and supportive place to stay. A space for rest, recovery, healing and personal retreat — with privacy, warmth and care.Hobbit House:
The Hobbit House was the first little outside building created at Kura Waka. Jan currently lives there. Over the past years, he has been a solid rock for Kura Waka, helping, building, carrying and contributing in many ways. His place deserves to be cared for, improved and made warm for the years to come.Kitchen:
The kitchen is where daily care begins. It is where nourishing meals are prepared for retreats, trainings, ceremonies and guests.Recently, the walls received a new layer of clay, bringing warmth, breath and natural beauty back into the space.
Supporting the kitchen helps us keep feeding and caring for the people who come here.
